Tall Tale Truths 2.0

Update from August 2nd, 2021:

Well, well, well. Looks like I definitely did not stick to any of my goals for this website. The last post I made was two years ago, and even the article that I have planned for this week is not going to be posted according to the schedule I cam up with back in the Summer of 2019.

It turns out that a long distance relationship, nursing school, a global pandemic, moving cross-country, and getting married, can keep a guy pretty busy. So, to all of you loyal readers–i.e. my parents and sometimes my wife–I apologize for not posting more.

For the foreseeable future, I am going to TRY to post once per week. Will I stick to that? Probably not, I seem to be pretty fickle as of late.

Hey everyone!

If by any chance you have been subscribed over the past two years, you will know that this website is not updated very frequently. Posts would come about every few months (or once a year) and there was never any social media presence. It also had evolved into more of a personal diary/soapbox rather than the site that it was originally designed to function as.

After much deliberation and forethought–about a week of being bored at work–I have decided to relaunch this website, purging it of its old content and starting afresh with what I had always envisioned this site serving as. With this relaunch also comes a dedication to actually maintaining some level of consistency in posts and I want to outline what it will look like moving forward so that any and all readers can know what to expect, but also to keep myself accountable for upholding this starting on either June 24 or July 1. See below for the breakdown of what type of content will be posted and when:

• Mondays: articles on movies! Probably something that just came out that weekend, but also could be movies that have been out for years but deserve to be written about anyways.
• Wednesdays: a Week’s Worth of Words! For those of you familiar with this site, a Week’s Worth of Words is a posting wherein I present seven different, interesting, or just plain weird, phrases that I have heard throughout the previous week. One phrase per day and boom: a Week’s Worth of Words.
• Fridays: articles on television shows! Whether it’s current television or a show that has been off the air for a bit but is readily available to watch through any streaming service, prepare to read some piece based on the small screen.

Of course there may be some days where an additional post or two will pop-up throughout the week, but you can rest easy that whether you are trying to escape the Monday blues, enjoying the half-way-there mentality on a Wednesday, or are eagerly awaiting to get off of work on Friday, you will (probably) always have a little something on this website to look forward to.
